GIS mapping

Company → Network → GIS opens the interactive map for your company’s network infrastructure.

Map basics

Pan and zoom on OpenStreetMap or configured base layers
Draw and edit features: fiber links, wireless links, copper, access points, hand holes, poles, coverage areas

Administrators set default map center and zoom so staff land in the right region. Update via GIS settings or API if exposed in your deployment.

KML import/export supports bringing legacy GIS data in or sharing with external tools.

Some deployments expose a tokenized embed URL for read-only maps on external sites—tokens are company-scoped and unauthenticated.

Keep layer naming consistent (e.g. fiber-2024-backbone) so search and filters stay usable as the network grows.

Linked documentation on hand holes may store photos, splice notes, and asset IDs for field techs.

GIS uses OpenLayers in the browser. Performance is best with hundreds—not tens of thousands—of features per view; split by region if needed.
